About these terms

These terms apply when you use this website, create an account or book a ticket with The Assembly. The Assembly is an independent, student-led organisation. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any university, law firm, chambers, the Law Society, the Bar Council or the Inns of Court unless stated on a specific event page.

Accounts

Membership is free. You must give accurate information and keep your profile professional. We may suspend accounts that breach our community guidelines.

Tickets

A booking is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation email with a booking reference. Tickets are personal to the named attendee unless we agree a transfer.

Prices include any applicable fees. Promotional codes have no cash value and may be withdrawn at any time.

Please bring your ticket (on your phone is fine). We may refuse entry to anyone behaving inappropriately, without refund.

Some events serve alcohol; you must be 18 or over to be served, and venues may ask for ID.

Changes and cancellations

We may need to change speakers, timings or venues. If we cancel an event or make a significant change, you will be offered a full refund. See our cancellations & refunds policy.

Photography

We may photograph events. We only publish photographs of guests who consented when booking, and will remove any photograph of you on request.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Otherwise our liability to you in connection with a booking is limited to the price you paid.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
